Named by Diagnostic Imaging Magazine as one of the nation's top twenty most influential people in radiology, he recently served as Chair of the American College of Radiology's Task Force on Managed Care, a position he accepted after a period of public service that parallels most of his career as a practicing diagnostic radiologist. He has served on the clinical faculty of the JCAHO, written several of the earliest articles on quality assurance in radiology and, in the past several years, organized and presented countless seminars on the inter-relationship of imaging appropriateness and healthcare reform. Dr. Dehn continues to publish information helpful to both radiologists and policy makers with respect to imaging economics.
He actively participated in the development of the Medicare Peer Review Program and served as the organizations National President for several years. In that capacity he frequently participated in congressional hearings on the cost and quality of healthcare and gained considerable knowledge of the evolving role of managed care at a time when it was thought of as an "alternate" delivery system. He participated in the founding and served as President of one of Milwaukee's largest IPA model HMOs and has consistently shared his knowledge with his colleagues.
Dr. Dehn attended Marquette School of Medicine and completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
