Robert LaGalia was elected senior vice president and chief financial officer of NIA in 2001. He joined the company in 1995 and has held a variety of positions including financial planning and analysis, corporate strategy, and the development of the company's internet based services. In addition to his financial duties, he is responsible for corporate development, administration, and information technology at NIA. He joined NIA from Corning Life Sciences (CLSI), where he was responsible for business development covering the biotechnology, clinical laboratory, and disease management industries. He served as a founding member of NIA while at Corning and later Quest Diagnostics. Prior to CLSI, Mr. LaGalia held various positions within Corning, Inc., including serving as a controller in the Consumer Products group from 1992 to 1995. Mr. LaGalia graduated from the University at Albany with a bachelor's degree in finance and is a CFA charterholder. He is a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts (NYSSA) and the Association for Investment Management & Research (AIMR).
