National Imaging Associates Receives URAC Accreditation for
HIPAA Security for Business Associates
Hackensack, NJ (June 8, 2004) – National Imaging Associates (NIA) announced today the it has been awarded HIPAA Security for Business Associates accreditation from URAC, a Washington, DC-based health care accrediting organization that establishes quality standards for the health care industry.
“We believe that accreditation is a vital factor in assuring quality health care, particularly with regard to embracing, applying and continuously enhancing security standards,” said John Donahue, President and CEO, NIA. “As leaders in radiology management, we have made a commitment to our customers and are continuously developing and implementing programs for quality improvement. URAC HIPAA Security for Business Associates solidifies this effort.”
